If you are building your email lists or you already have one there are some things that you should know about sending out emails to your customers.

Check out the list we put together for you to find out how to make a good newsletter.


  • Make sure that everybody who is in your list are opt in or even double opt in (they are subscribed themselves to your newsletters).
  • Give your readers clear instructions on what they have to do. Use call to action buttons.
  • Always provide the option for unsubscribe.
  • Include the company’s signature in every email: name, address, phone and email address.
  • Select your target audience and make it personal.
  • Keep your paragraphs short; they should be maximum 8 lines.
  • Send out notification that you received their letter and respond to them as soon as possible.
  • Pay special attention to your subject line, since you also want that they would receive your emails, use simple words that describe the content.
  • Salutation and closing is very important



  • The photos shouldn’t be too small.
  • Do not send emails to people who did not subscribe to your newsletter.
  • Do not send too large files, instead send out links.
  •  DON’T yell at people, avoid using CAPS.
